The Upside Down Kingdom

Screenshot_2014-06-05-08-09-34-1Scripture: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts; (Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV).

God’s standards are not the standards of this world. His thoughts and ways are higher. He uses ordinary people and unusual circumstances to accomplish extraordinary feats. He uses the meek, and the lowliest of persons. He did not choose philosophers or men of wealth and power to publish the Gospel. He chose to use the weak and the foolish to confound the wise.

Often a humble Christian, though poor, according to this world’s standards, has more knowledge of the Gospel than those who boast of their accolades. Those whom God uses do not have titles or honor to aggrandize them. He does this so that no man’s flesh should glory in His presence. It will be utter confusion for those who sit in high places to see the lowest class in life made kings and priests by Christ. God has made what seems foolish to man, the wisdom of the world. The foolishness of preaching the Gospel message pleases God when the unsaved hear the message and believe. Seems upside down but the spirit world is more real than the natural world.

Where is the wise person, the lawyer, the philosopher?

There is a great distance between God’s thoughts and His ways. God’s thoughts are heavenly, His ways are unsearchable. When God is about to change the order of things He does it with a baby (Ex. 2:1-10). The changing of the guards are likely to take place as a sign that God is doing a new thing. When He’s going to destroy a land He brings in things like gnats, frogs, and locusts (Ex. Chpts. 7-10). When God is going to destroy an army He uses fewer men against great numbers. He uses prostitutes as witnesses; liars, and thieves as disciples. He uses the concept of both storms and broken vessels to teach principles. The Prophet Elijah challenged 450 Baal prophets to call down fire from their god to show them that his God is the only True God. After Elijah called upon God, fire from heaven fell and burned up the sacrifice that he prepared and everything around it (1 Kings. 18:25-40).

God calls dead things to come forth and they live again at His command; (John 11:43). He also commands dry bones to live again; (Ezel. 37:4). He’s a great and might God; He rules with power and authority. When He decrees a thing, it’s settled. When he opens a door no man can close it. When He closes a door no man can open it. No foe can withstand a Holy God. Almighty God is the maker of heaven and earth. He is the Sovereign Ruler overall. God’s kingdom is more real than the planet that we live on. The spiritual world is more real than the natural realm. God is the Creator and He rules overall! Now, this is the God that I serve!

  1. Such a beautiful message! Every time I read of the awesome power of our God, especially of His ability to speak life into something that was dead…or how He uses the smallest things to overcome the greatest obstacles….these things solidify my faith greatly!! All glory to God!!

    1. Hello Greggy! I am so glad that your faith has increased. Because of the great sacrifice that Jesus made, we’re able to speak to dead situation, in His name, and command them to live. This amazing power was made available to us when Jesus got up from the grave with all power, and that same power is living in us. I’m a witness to this truth; I once was dead in my trespasses and Jesus called me out of darkness and into the marvelous light. I won’t ever forget that day. I’ve walked by faith ever since. Jesus is the light of the world.
