In spirte of the controvesies taking place throughout the world, let me remind you our God is a God of miracles. There isn’t anything however great or small, that God cannot handle. Miracles happen everyday performed at His hand.
Today’s Scripture: His mother (Mary), saith unto the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” (John 2:5 KJV).
The beginning of Moses’ miracles was turning water to blood (Ex. 7:20). The beginning of Christ’s miracles was turning water to wine. This is symbolic of the difference between the Law of Moses and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His turning water to wine gives the knowledge of grace.
The first mark of the Messiah was his first miracle of changing water into wine (John 2:1-11). This miracle was actually a visible parable. Our Lord performed a profoundly symbolic act at the wedding in Cana of Galilee. He took something that belonged to the realm of the inanimate world, “water” and changed it into a living substance, “wine”.
